Birthday parties are alot of fun to photograph.  What can be greater than a cake smash:)  Jackson had alot of fun with his cake but it really started with a little help from his dad. 

Birthday parties are a great time to capture alot of your family together plus mom and dad can be in the picture.  Feel free to email me if you are having a small or large celebration.   Not jut kid birthday parties, but baby and bridal showers, enagements parties, sweet 16, etc.

Backyard summer birthdays are the best.  I love hosting Logan’s party every summer.  The pool, the friends, the weather; all the ingredients for a fun party.  However, Annabelle’s is a lot harder to plan.  I am having her party at KaZoing, an indoor facility with several inflatable’s with a visit from her favorite, Dora the Explorer.  I can‘t believe my baby’s 3^rd birthday is just around the corner.

If you don’t know by now, I love to plan parties so when I get asked to photograph birthdays by other party enthusiastic moms, I feel like a kid in a candy store.  How sweet is this candy land birthday? 

I am currently planning my daughter Annabelle’s 3^rd birthday.   She loves Dora the Explorer so I’ve decided to tie animal print into the party to give it a little originality.

KaZoing Birthdays are such a blast.  I love to host birthday parties in my home but because Annabelle’s birthday is in November it makes it hard to go outside to play, so I can foresee any of her larger parties being held at KaZoing.

The Sullivan’s always have the most fun group of kids at their parties! 

I am in the process of planning Logan’s 6^th Mario Brothers birthday and  brainstorming for some fun ideas.   Between back to school, birthday planning and everyday life, it’s a busy time at our home:)

When I think of Scott and Angie, the lyrics of a song come to mind....God Bless, the broken road that led me straight to you (or in their situation "back" to you).  There is something special about the simplicity of marrying a more experienced couple.  The concentration isn't on the hoopla of a grand produced ceremony but rather than the love the two have for each other. 

 

Angie and Scott were high school sweethearts who have gone through many dead end trails searching for their path to the top of the mountain but it obvious they are there now!  They couldn't appear to be more in love. 

 

Angie is such a dear friend and it was pleasure capturing her special day.

 I had the pleasure earlier this year to photograph, my dear friend Stephanie's Investiture as Jefferson District Court Judge.  I've known Stephanie for many years and she has always been such a wonderful friend.  I was glad that I got to capture her special day.  Congratulations, your Honor!

B is for bee-autiful!  When Adell's mom called me to photograph her daughter's first birthday back in January,  I had no idea what an eye treat I was in for.  As a mom that LOVES to plan parties, birthday parties especially I was in awe at the work that Becky put into her daughter's birthday to make it special. 

 

I follow so many party planning mom blogs, some of my favorite include TomKat Studio, Kate Landers Events, Hostess with the Mostess and Kara's Party Ideas.  I was so honored that the party I hosted for my neice was featured here.  Second to photography, creating pretty parties is my favorite thing to do.  Way to go Becky on a flawless day!

Sweet Lilly turns 1.  Isn't she a cutie?  And look at her adorable cousins!

Tammy and Jeff held Lilly's birthday party at their new home and I was so impressed with Tammy's decorating skills (she only moved in weeks ago and the entire house was unpacked and decorated, wow!).  She has a knack for finding a bargain and turning the simpliest stuff into art.  She is an amazingly talented girl!  I've worked with Tammy for a few years and had no idea she was so creative!   Thanks for the great afternoon and all the inspiration I gained from perusing your home!
